Our District’s efforts

My Choice. My Path.

Hands-on learning that builds skills, experience, and college readiness.

Programs give families real educational choice through themed, rigorous, hands-on learning communities where students drive their learning, solve meaningful problems, and build a professional body of work. Each program weaves project-based coursework, workplace simulations, and local industry and community partnerships, so students gain technical expertise, transferable skills, and authentic experience. Graduates leave college-ready and career-ready: prepared for selective high-school academies, two- or four-year colleges and universities, post-secondary training or direct entry into the workforce.

In the 2026-2027 school year, Fort Bend ISD will offer Middle School Choice Programs. Six middle school campuses have been identified to offer future-ready programs for students.

  • Amy Coleman Middle School: Aviation & Aerospace

  • David Crockett Middle School: Artificial Intelligence

  • Garcia Middle School: Creative Arts & Innovation

  • Hodges Bend Middle School: EnviroTech Learning Lab

  • Missouri City Middle School: First Responders

  • Sartartia Middle School: Leadership & Civic Engagement

These choice programs will feature a school-within-a-school model and is open to all current students and non-FBISD residents. It is important to note that transportation will not be provided for students admitted into these programs. The application window will open April 2nd and runs through May 1st.
